People are often left disappointed by agricultural tractors with backhoes, as they lack the hydraulic flow and pressures required to dig like an excavator. The L35 was designed to solve this issue by utilising oversize hydraulic pumps and cylinders giving it the break out force of a 2.5 ton excavator. To handle the increased hydraulic forces Kubota braced the entire chassis structure with a heavy duty subframe system. There is no longer a tractor on the market that can dig like an L35, the only option is to go to a CAT or JCB Backhoe Loader, definitely one of the all time great Kubota models.
